FAQ

Common questions.

What exactly is "financial coaching" — is it the same as a financial advisor?
No — and the difference matters. A licensed financial advisor manages or recommends specific investments and is regulated accordingly. Personal financial coaching is educational: we help you understand your cash flow, build a budget, plan for purchases, and develop the habits and systems to manage your money well. We don't manage investments, recommend specific securities, or provide tax advice.
Do I need a certain income to work with you?
No. Coaching is built for people at all income levels who want to be more intentional about their finances. Whether you're just starting to get organized or want help planning a significant financial move, the work is the same.
What happens in the first session?
We start with a Snapshot Session — a full review of your income, expenses, assets, and debt. By the end, you'll have a clear picture of where you stand and a written summary of the most important things to address. From there, we decide together whether ongoing coaching makes sense.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is kept strictly confidential. We don't share your financial information with anyone.
What if I also need tax or investment help?
We'll tell you clearly if something falls outside what we can help with — and we'll point you in the right direction. We're happy to work alongside your CPA or financial advisor, and we'll never claim expertise we don't have.
